One: I have just completed the 100 book and 75 YA book challenges hosted by Home Girl!
My hundredth book this year was Faithful by Janet Fox and the review for that one will be released on the 16th of December.
My 75th YA book was Hope in Patience by Beth Fehlbaum and my review will be released sometime in January.
I super-sized both challenges and can’t wait to do it again next year. I am still keeping track of the books I have read and you can keep up with all my challenges on the challenges page in my tabs (above.)
Here are the books I hope to finish before 2011:
Two: The Mod Podge Bookshelf now has a sister, she is gorgeous and I built her all by myself, yes you read that right. I don’t have pictures because I was the one doing the manual labor and looked sweaty! This bookshelf holds all the books I have read, if you see a book I haven’t reviewed (yet) know that a positive review is on it’s way!
Question for the comments: Why do you think my blog is called The Mod Podge Bookshelf?
Three: I will now be participating in Reading Teen’s Second Hand Saturday! Hooray! Click SHS to find the page! There are some very interesting ways to gain more entries, if you are a tech-savvy person I suggest you check it out!
I am now a seven-post a week blog!
This is the schedule:Sunday- In My Mailbox, hosted by The Story Siren
Monday- Daily Dose, hosted by Good Golly Miss Holly
Tuesday- Book review day
Wednesday- Waiting On Wednesday, hosted by Breaking The Spine
Thursday- Either a Book review or a Blog Update
Friday- Book Review
Saturday- Second Hand Saturday Contest, hosted by Reading Teen
For the comments: Do you like to know what reviews are coming up? Do you like to know for the week or for the month? Would you rather be surprised?
Four: I won another Blog Award! This one is called The Versatile Blogger award and was given to me by Kristina Barnes at The Frazzled Book Nommer. Thank you again Kristina, you are awesome!
Now one of the rules of receiving an award is that you list seven things about yourself and send the award onto 15 worthy bloggers, but I have only listed 14. Forgive me, I know that there are blogs that deserve it, but I haven’t discovered them yet. In fact, I am giving everyone free pimping access, if you know of a blog I haven’t awarded (including yours) that you think deserves all the recognition, leave a link in the comments!
The rules:
1. Thank and link back to the person who gave you this award.
2. Write 7 things about yourself.
3. Pass the award along to 15 bloggers who you have recently discovered and who you think are fantastic.
4. Contact the bloggers you've picked to let them know about the award.
My seven things you may or may not have known about me!
One: I am a singer! I have been studying voice since I was nine. I have worked hard to become very goodish and have an idea on how to incorporate singing into my blog once I save for a better laptop with a web-cam. I love to sing! My favorite song right now is Haunted by Taylor Swift
Two: I recently had jaw surgery and am healing fabulously, my voice was greatly affected by the operation (in a positive way!) and I now have the air to support my voice! I look different too, but I am waiting for the rest of the swelling to go down before I post pictures.
Three: I am going to college a year early and will be working my way to my doctorate. I am going to be a child psychologist, basing my practice around music therapy for children who are in the foster care system, and those suffering from PTSD and other mental traumas.
Four: I am a photographer, I was just given the opportunity to design the cover of my friend’s unpublished book. My company is called Messenger Photography.
Five: I have a long (very super-duper extra long a-mundo) list of baby names. My favorite boy name changes often, right now I am loving Eleazar, Seth and Jonas, but my favorite girls names are constant. Gwendolyn and Marion. Name meaning is key for me to like a name. Leave your name in the comments below (or leave your favorite name, or both) and I will tell you if I know it's meaning!
Six: I just got a twitter after years of with-standing peer-pressure. I cracked, so sue me. You can follow me at ModPodgeBooks.
Seven: I don’t put myself through the torture of finishing a book I dislike, but I only review the part I read and I tell my readers how far I got.
My “15” Blogs- (I really tried to keep the “versatile” label in mind for these)
Truth Be Told
Princess Bookie
Good Golly Miss Holly

That Bookish Girl
DeRaps Reads
Reading Teen
Legitimate Baby Names
A Tale of Many Reviews

Five: My good friend, Elaine, the brilliance behind the YA Blogosphere, which recently inducted me, is having a fab little contest over on her personal blog, I suggest you enter here and while you’re at it, follow her, she’s marvelous!
And Finally, Meghan is a great YouTube artist and I listened to her Ingrid Michaelson cover of Parachute on repeat while I wrote this. Hear what I hear:
In the comments leave any questions about myself, my blog, books, my photography, my thoughts on a name, really anything that you have and I will answer them in my next blog update. Leave me your blog URL and I will link you if I answer your question!

Congratulations! !! And thanks so much for passing it along!! I'm excited to hear you're going to do a SHS! It's really a lot of fun and if you ask questions you learn a lot about your followers!!
Love ya!
Thanks for the award! I'm flattered : )
Andye and Mrs. DeRaps- you both have fabulous blogs and I was far beyond honored to pass them onto you both!
You've put in wonderful effort, if you're able to pump out two reviews a week. I struggle to post mine weekly.
Holly! You do a great job, I love your blog!
