My Summary: Breadcrumbs begins, Once Upon a Time, like all good fairy tales do, but it's not your typical Happily Ever After. Breadcrumbs is a story of two best friends, one of whom is struggling to hold onto the other and how she learns to leave those things in the woods, which wish to stay.

My Review: Breadcrumbs, what can I say that will truly hold all I feel? It was intelligent and thought provoking, and in my case, heart stroking, and soul stoking. There's just something about this book that feels like ultimate truth, a chocolate cake, plus a healthy dose of cod liver oil blended together to both teach and entertain the reader, no matter their age.

Mixing together all the beautiful and bitter things about childhood and growing up, Breadcrumbs will both break your heart and put it back together again, leaving you a little more whole than when you began.

I can think of nothing else to say, other than, read this book post-haste!

Notes on the Names:

Hazel, Jack and Adelaide are the names of the characters, which makes me super curious about Ursu's children's names! I bet they are gorgeous!

Thoughts on the Cover:

The cover, and the illustrations inside the book, could only increase the awesome of such an exceptional work!
