My Summary:

Katla LeBlanc is off on another adventure that will take her to Iceland, and beyond...

Her fabulous boyfriend, Jack, has been cold and distant since the ominous appearance of mysterious and strange Brigid Fonnoka.

Between Katla’s mystic Stork duties, as well as problems at home, she has very little time to devote to Jack anyway, but when he goes missing Kat will have to take the ultimate risk in this modern retelling of “The Snow Queen.”

My Review:

I am a huge Stork fan, I might go so far as to say I am the number one Stork fan, but that’s a tad presumptuous. I love Wendy Delsol and was ridiculously lucky to meet her at BEA this year! We talked, I got some dish, and I scored a copy of Frost. I immediately sat down to read when I arrived home early due to a cold. I knew this book wouldn’t disappoint, and I was right.

Here is why I love Frost- in Stork Delsol used mythology to frame her story, and she continues the trend in Frost, but she adds a new layer of genius to the plot. She used the awesome TFT, or Twisted Fairy Tale, structure to add a little something extra to her sequel! Talk about my kind of book, right?

My only downer, and it was needed, I agree, is that there is very little to none Jack and Katla action, so there is not enough kissing, and no resolution to Jack’s thoughts on the blizzard he creates, which sets the whole story into motion.

I am sure Wendy will more than make up for the separateness in book three! If she had no plans to...well, the number one Stork fan has just warned her, up the ante on the smooches.

Notes on the Names:

Come back tomorrow to get the authors thoughts on her names, which is much more enlightened than anything I could write here!

Thoughts on the Cover:

Oh. My. Gosh. Do you see that cover?! It not only fits perfectly with Stork, but it’s gorgeous in it’s own right.

One of the best covers of the year, don’t you think?
