IMM (16) Simon and Shuster makes my heart Wither (in a good way!)

Hello and Welcome to IMM Catch-up addition! Since this is the first mailbox in a while, you may be seeing some books I have already reviewed/read, but not to worry, next week I will show off my Christmas books post-haste!

In My Mailbox is hosted by the Fabulous Story Siren.

Simon and Shuster are my new best friends! I just had the most amazing expieriece that really made my blogging world, thus-far! I am still hesitant to send out Review Copy Requests; I really don’t want to seem presumptuous, even if there are a bazillion ARCs I would LOVE to get my hands on. I just feel weird about it, I mean, who am I? Right? Well… apparently, I am someone (small, very small, but someone known.)
S&S sent me an ARC of Wither by Lauren DeStefano, and I didn’t even ask! In my head I salivated, begged, whined, moaned and groaned, but I never sent a request and then BLAMO- there it is. I started crying and screaming, jumping up and down and up and down; my dad thought I was having an episode, but now he is so proud of his little phsyco! I won’t get to read it until January, because I want it to count for the 2011 Debut Author Challenge, but still, Wither has landed In My Mailbox.

Thank you Simon and Shuster, feel free to take over my IMM anytime!
The Remarkable and Very True Story of Lucy and Snowcap by H. M. Bouwman (I saw the cover and had to have this one come hell or high water! Story reminds me of the writings of N.E. Bode, whom I adore!)

Stolen by Lucy Christoper (I can feel the genius radiating off the pages)

She’s So Dead To Us by Kieran Scott (reminds me of Cinderella Society meets Pretty Little Liars)

My Louisiana Sky by Kimerly Willis Holt (Easily one of my top five favorite books ever. When I saw the hardback cover at my local half-price bookstore I teared up a little, it’s in perfect condition even though it was released many moons ago. Thank you, Jesus!)

The Summer of Skinny Dipping by Amanda Howell (You know, the title made me think it was a “fluffy” book, but having finally read the synopsis, I can see I was judging a book by it’s cover, or title, if you will.)

For Review:

A signed copy of Irreplaceable by Stephen Lovely

Crash Into Me by Albert Harris

The Last Days by Scott Westerfeld

Ambergate by Patricia Elliott

That’s my adopted dog, Claire-Bear Blessing. I adopted her from the SPCA when she was two years old. She recently celebrated her third anniversary and fifth birthday this past September. She loves to read with me and would be so happy if you followed the blog! This girls a sweetheart…

Let me know in the comments below about your dogs, there names, or breeds, I would love to know what my fellow readers and bloggers keep as pets. And what books did you get in your mailbox?
