The Patron Saint of Book Bloggers (One)

Once upon a time on a May-Day nearly two years ago, I had a dream of starting a book blog...

At the time my shelves consisted of a few, favorite novels, books published circa-2002 and adult titles. I loved YA, but lacked very many current titles to blog about.

I felt discouraged by this.

I don't feel it is vain, or rude to say that, I wanted to blog about books other bloggers were talking about, not books published five years ago!

Then my Patron Saint came along and sent me a box of ARCs, finished copies and a beautiful letter telling me to get to blogging!

I still do not know who she was; we were supposed to trade book-for-book, but she sent me 10 extra books, which made 11.

My Patron Saint allowed me to be current amid established blogs and I am now of the latter category, so...

I want to give back... to you!

This first contest is open to anyone; I am using the hop to promote the giveaway series, however in the future I will be hand-selecting a monthly winner and they will need to be a Baby Book Blogger.

This will be a great way to find the next, well, me who is out there with outdated shelves.

Now onto the actual hop!

Here's the haul: One winner will receive this ARC package of 2012 YA Debuts!

Enter below and please come back next month to enter for a new ARC package!

  8. That was a really great thing for your Patron Saint to do. I think it is fabulous and when I get to that point I hope to be just as giving. Thank you for sharing that you were once one of the little people. It often seems that the successful people don't remember the ever not being successful. They disdain to speak to the lower levels. Thanks again!

  14. That was sweet of someone to help you get into blogging that way. I confess that if I started a blog, I'd have the same trouble.
