My Summary:

This is a book that needed to be written. Now that it’s all bound up, this is a book you need to read, whomever you are.

My Review:

I wish I could make a video of myself standing up and cheering for this book without looking like an idiot. Usually I’m pretty good with words, but this time around ways to express my feelings illude me.

I can tell you one thing this book evoked, tears. Even now, they’re just a rollin’ down my face. Another thing it brought to mind is memories of days when I wish I had had this book gripped in my hand, because this book is the power I didn’t have in grade school. The power of someone telling me it wasn’t right, that they would help me stop it, that though I was being noticed by the wrong people, and ignored by those who should have been on my side, others out there felt the same way; we’re just too spread out to affect change...until now.

I “work” in a community that binds itself together over the important things, and sometimes the trivial things, because they aren’t trivial to us, they’re great books, good authors, and words that stir something in us all.

I’m challenging my community, this book just hit shelves, let’s help it leave them, again. If you are a blogger, a writer, or simply a reader of books and blogs, please talk this book up! It deserves the chance to change lives.

Notes on the Names:

Let’s talk about the authors here! There are 70 of them, and they all have a different story to tell. Some of them bullied, some were bullies, some swallowed pills, some swallowed words, all wish the past could be different in some way, and all are doing their part to change the future.

THANK YOU!

Thoughts on the Cover:

What’s inside is more important, still, I wish the cover was a tad more inticing.

Parental Book Review *spoilers*

Cursing, sexual situations, violece, bullying, yeah, this book has it all. You just have to recognize it’s one of those books worth the read no matter what, because it’s real.

My son had to deal with bullies last year and it was hard. This looks like a must read for everyone.
